Next Level: Elijah Bobo to Join Cal State LA Roster
LOS ANGELES, Calif. - Allan Hancock College outfielder/pitcher, Elijah Bobo, will continue his academic and athletic career at the next level after announcing his commitment to Cal State LA.
"Cal State LA seems like a great program and like a place where I can continue to grow as an athlete while playing with a few of my former teammates - Anthony Lopez and Brayan Nunez. I also really like that they compete in an extremely strong conference," Bobo stated. "I'm very happy that I get the chance to stay in California and be somewhat close to home during this next chapter."
Bobo spent two seasons on the field in a Bulldogs uniform while working primarily in left field or on the mound. He leaves Hancock with a career batting average of .203 and an on-base percentage mark of .329. The Lompoc native secured one save on the bump this season in the 9-7 victory on the road at Ventura in April.
"My time here at Allan Hancock helped me mature, as a person and as an athlete," Bobo added. "We did a lot as a team that I believe helped prepare me for the demands and expectations that this next level might bring."
The Golden Eagles are a Division II member of the NCAA and compete in the California Collegiate Athletic Association.
