Next Level: Bridger Coleman Lands at Chico State
CHICO, Calif. - Allan Hancock College catcher, Bridger Coleman, will continue his academic and athletic career at the next level by joining the Chico State roster this season.
"I chose Chico State because I think it will be the best opportunity for me. It feels like a place that could become home and they have a program that I've had my eye on for quite a while now," Coleman shared. "It is still away from home, but it feels close enough for my family to come and see me often."
Coleman, a graduate of Lompoc High School, spent two seasons on the field for the Bulldogs. At the conclusion of his sophomore campaign, Coleman was selected as a Western State Conference Gold Glove honoree for his work behind the plate. Coleman closed out his junior college career with a total of four home runs and 17 RBIs on 47 hits while posting a .251 batting average.
"My time at AHC prepared me for success at the next level in every way possible. I don't think I'd be the player or the person I am today without my coaches at Hancock, especially Coach Stevens," Coleman added. "He really pushed me to become the best version of myself, on and off the field."
Chico State is a Division II member of the NCAA and competes in the California Collegiate Athletic Association.
