Next Level: Dean Samuel Commits to La Sierra

RIVERSIDE, Calif. - Allan Hancock College infielder, Dean Samuel, will continue his academic and athletic career at the next level by joining the La Sierra University roster this season.

"I chose La Sierra University because they are giving me the opportunity to get a great education while also continuing to play baseball at the collegiate level," Samuel stated.

The product of Orcutt Academy wrapped up his sophomore campaign with the Bulldogs in the spring. Samuel closed out his junior college career with a .273 batting average after 81 plate appearances. He tallied seven RBIs on 18 hits while working towards a .355 on-base percentage. 

"My time at AHC helped prepare me for success at the next level in several ways. It all starts with Coach Stevens and the amazing program that he runs," Samuel added. "The professors also showed me what I needed to do to become a great student."

The Golden Eagles are a member of the NAIA and compete in the California Pacific Conference.
