Former Hancock Lineman John Sua to Play For Kansas State
Defensive lineman and Santa Maria native John Sua has received a spot on the roster at Kansas State University. The Division I Wildcats are a member of the Big-12 Conference and were 7-5 in 2010. Sua will join the team as a walk on after spending the summer practicing with the Wildcats.
Sua led the Bulldogs with 37 total tackles, seven sacks and three forced fumbles in 2010 and was named first team All-Conference. During his freshman season he had 33 solo tackles and three sacks and helped Allan Hancock College make a trip to the state playoffs. He was an All-State lineman at St. Joseph High School before joining the Bulldog football team in 2009.
“John has worked hard for everything he’s achieved,” said Hancock head coach Kris Dutra.”
