Hancock Football Ready for a Re-Match With Bakersfield College

   
                   After two near misses last season, the Bulldogs are ready to play an exciting game against the Bakersfield Renegades. The number two ranked Bakersfield team is travelling to Santa Maria on Saturday, Oct. 16 to play the number 10 ranked Bulldogs at 6 p.m. at the Righetti High School stadium.
The two teams met last in the postseason Golden Empire Bowl. The Renegades narrowly beat the Bulldogs in that playoff game with a field goal kicked with only two seconds left on the clock. The final score was 24-21. The only team to beat the Bulldog’s 2009 squad, Bakersfield also beat Hancock in a conference game earlier in the season.
With an upset 35-28 victory over Fullerton College on Oct. 2 the Bulldogs recently moved up to a 10th place ranking in the California Community College Football poll. The team is 3-2 overall going into this first conference game.  Bakersfield is currently 4-1 after their 20-34 loss on Oct. 2 against Mt. San Antonio College.
