Three Football Players Named to All-California Region IV First Team
Offensive lineman Jose Lopez (So. Paso Robles), wide receiver Shane Henderson (Fr. Columbus, IN) and running back Cameron Artis-Payne (Fr., Harrisburg, PA) have been named to the All-California First Team Offense in Region IV by the California Community College Football Coaches Association.
All three players were also unanimous All-Conference first team selections for the 2011 season. Lopez, a returning starter, anchored the Bulldog’s offense this last season. Henderson averaged 102 yards per game and scored 12 touchdowns during the regular season. He ranked third in the state with in receiving yards with 1,008. Artis-Payne finished sixth in the state in rushing. He led the Bulldogs in scoring with 16 touchdowns and averaged 120 rushing yards per game for a net total of 1195 yards.
The Bulldogs finished the season 7-4 and were the Western State Bowl champions.
