Safety Chris Wheeler Receives Scholarship to Weber State
Christopher Wheeler (Templeton), a returning starter for the Bulldogs at safety, will be playing for the Weber State University Wildcats in 2012. The NCAA Division I team plays in the Big Sky Conference and were 5-4 in conference in 2011.
Wheeler was the Bulldog’s defensive back of the year in 2010 and was named second team All-Conference. He had 24 solo and 42 total tackles and led the team in interceptions with four. During the 2011 season he was named a second team All-Conference selection and had 42 solo and 70 total tackles and led the team in interceptions with six.
