
Hancock's Shane Henderson Scores All-State Honor
Allan Hancock College wide receiver Shane Henderson earned another postseason honor on Thursday. Henderson received All-State honors from the California Community College Football Coaches Association which released its 2013 All-California Teams.
Henderson was one of five wide receivers named to the Region IV All-California First Team Offense. He also received the honor after the 2011 season. The region includes the 21 schools that are members of the Northern, Central and Southern Conferences.
This fall, the 6-foot, 200 pound Henderson completed the most distinguished career in program history by a Bulldog receiver. He hauled in 74 receptions for 1,069 receiving yards and seven touchdowns. He owns Hancock records for career receptions (134), career receiving yards (2,173), career touchdown catches (19), receptions in a single-season (74) and receiving yards in a single-season (1,104). He is also tied for the most touchdown catches in a single-season with 12.
Earlier this month, the Indiana native was named to the All-Northern Conference First Team Offense for the second time of his Hancock career.
