
Football Jumps to 16th in Latest Coaches' Poll
SAN MATEO, Calif. - The Allan Hancock College football team jumped nine spots in the second edition of the JC Athletic Bureau Coaches' Top 25 Poll, announced by the association on Tuesday.
The Bulldogs moved up to the No. 16 slot and received 141 points after a dominating victory over San Bernardino Valley College on Saturday. Movement behind the pacesetters of No. 1 City College of San Francisco and No. 2 Riverside CC including one rank-up each from College of San Mateo, College of the Canyons, and Golden West.
Three opponents on the schedule for Hancock's non-conference slate are also ranked: No. 6 Mt San Antonio, No. 7 Cerritos, and No. 14 Fullerton. Other members of the National Northern League mentioned in the poll are No. 4 Canyons, No. 10 Ventura, No. 19 Long Beach, and No. 24 Bakersfield.
The Bulldogs are set to travel to Cerritos College on Saturday, September 17th. Live stats for the game can be followed on the ahcbulldogs.com website, but no audio or video broadcast will be available.
