
Bulldogs Jump Back into Top 25 in Latest Coaches' Poll
SACRAMENTO, Calif. - After topping then-No. 15 East Los Angeles College on Saturday afternoon in the conference opener, the Allan Hancock College football team has moved back into the JC Athletic Bureau Football Coaches' Top 25 Poll.
The Bulldogs jumped back into the ranking and landed at No. 16 with a final tally of 100 points in the poll. Riverside City remained at the top of the list after collecting 11 first place votes while No. 2 College of San Mateo secured three. No. 3 Mt. San Antonio (324), No. 4 Golden West (302), and No. 5 Sierra/Fullerton (282) round out the top five.
Four other members of the National Northern League joined Hancock in the rankings: No. 9 Long Beach (208), No. 12 Ventura (171), No. 21 East LA (75), and No. 22 Bakersfield (74). College of the Canyons remains just outside the rankings in the "others receiving votes" category.
The Bulldogs are set to return to action on Saturday, October 22nd, with a home showing against Canyons for the annual Military Appreciation Game. All current and former military personnel, along with their families, can reserve their free tickets by entering the passcode "honor" on the ticketing page. Tickets are available in two tiers: game-only tickets and game + pregame celebration event tickets. The pregame celebration event will take place prior to kickoff, beginning at 1 PM, and will feature things like yard games and free food. A special pregame coin toss and a halftime presentation are also planned to honor local active duty military members and veterans.
