Football's Jacob Burr Heading to Fort Lewis

DURANGO, Colo. - Allan Hancock College dual-sport athlete, Jacob Burr, has signed on to continue his academic and athletic career at Fort Lewis College next season.

"I chose Fort Lewis because it's closer to home," Burr stated. "I feel like it is the best place for me to continue to succeed, both athletically and academically, and the people I've met in Durango have been amazing so far." 

Burr, a native of Colorado, has spent two seasons at Hancock as a dual-sport athlete for both the football and the track teams. On the field, Burr spent time as a wide receiver and as a holder while appearing in 14 games through two seasons. 

"My time at Allan Hancock prepared me for success at the next level by helping me grow mentally and mature as a person," Burr added. 

The Skyhawks are a Division II member of the NCAA and compete in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.
