Football's Latrell Brown Commits to Graceland University

LAMONI, Iowa - Allan Hancock College runningback, Latrell Brown, has committed to continue his academic and athletic career at Graceland (Iowa) University next season.

"I chose Graceland because they really took the time to understand me and my goals," Brown shared. "The school also gives me the opportunity to deepen my relationship with Christ, which is a big part of my life."

Brown, a native of North Carolina, spent two seasons in a Bulldogs uniform. He led the slew of Hancock rushers in the fall after averaging 67.4 rushing yards per game, ranking him 10th across all competitors in the SCFA at the conclusion of regular season action. Brown ended the season with six touchdowns and 741 yards on the ground and was tabbed as a First Team All-League selection. Last season, Brown served the AHC crew on the defensive side of the ball as a freshman. He recorded 19 total tackles and notched two sacks through seven games.

"My time at Allan Hancock showed me how to take adversity to the chin and continue to fight. Things in life aren't always going to go our way and that's fine because what we go through doesn't define us, but how we handle it does," Brown added.

Graceland is a member of the NAIA and competes in the Heart of America Athletic Conference.
