Football's Deounta Cromity Heading to UVA Wise

WISE, Va. - Allan Hancock College football offensive lineman, Deounta Cromity, has committed to continue his academic and athletic career at the University of Virginia's College at Wise (UVA Wise) next season.

"I chose UVA Wise because it was a place that felt like home from the first time I stepped on campus," Cromity shared. "On the academic side and when it comes to football, they really offer everything I need to be successful."

Cromity moves on to the next level after spending one season with the Bulldogs. The North Carolina native was named an All-League Honorable Mention selection after serving a critical role for Hancock's offensive line in the fall. Prior to joining the AHC squad, Cromity spent one season on the field at West Virginia State University.

"My time at Hancock prepared me by showing me what it takes to be successful at the next level," Cromity added. "From the field to the classroom, there were always challenges that made me stronger and wiser as I overcame them. It also taught me to finish strong and capitalize on what's to come." 

UVA Wise is a Division II member of the NCAA and competes in the South Atlantic Conference.
