Football's Sidney Jefferies Signs with Benedict College

COLUMBIA, S.C. - Allan Hancock College defensive back, Sidney Jefferies, has signed on to continue his academic and athletic career at Benedict College next season. 

"I chose Benedict because I feel like it is the best fit for me and will offer me the opportunity to continue to grow, both on and off the field," Jefferies shared. 

Jefferies, a native of Indiana, joined the Bulldogs for two seasons on the gridiron. He closed his sophomore campaign with a Second Team All-Conference nod after leading the team and ranking third in the SCFA with five interceptions on the season that were returned for a total of 107 yards. He also registered 40 total tackles, placing him fifth amongst teammates.

"My time at Allan Hancock definitely prepared me to succeed at the next level," Jefferies added. "AHC helped me grow as a man and as a football player."

The Tigers are a Division II member of the NCAA and compete in the Southern Intercollegiate Conference.
