Football's Brandon James Commits to Fort Lewis

DURANGO, Colo. - Allan Hancock College football linebacker, Brandon James, has committed to continuing his academic and athletic career at Fort Lewis College next season.

"I chose Fort Lewis because they showed high interest in me and wanted to invest in me as an athlete," James shared. "I'm very excited to see what they can do for me and what I can do for them as a player."

James completed his second season on the field with the Bulldogs last fall. The native of Arizona, who recorded three tackles in three games, was also a redshirt during the 2019 season.

"My time at AHC has helped me with my work ethic, my discipline, and my focus while giving me the opportunity to meet new people. One teammate that kept pushing me in practice and in the weight room was Jesse Garza, who really showed me what leaders should look like. At the beginning of my college career, I was an underdog but I didn't let that stand in my way. I've worked my tail off in the weight room and the classroom and earned my playing time while being here," James added. "Our linebackers coach this past season, Coach Pomfret, also saw potential in me. I also grew in my faith while here at Hancock and really learned to trust his process, thanks to Coach Damron. I saw thanks to God and the people that he allowed into my life that helped me get to where I am today."

The Skyhawks are a Division II member of the NCAA and compete in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.
