Football Falls in Final Non-Conference Contest at Mt. San Antonio, 42-21

WALNUT, Calif. - The Allan Hancock College football team fell to Mt. San Antonio College on Saturday evening during the final non-conference contest of the season, 42-21. With the win, Mt. SAC moves to a spotless 3-0 record on the all-time series list. | BOX SCORE

QUARTER 1: AHC 0 | MT SAC 14

The Mounties went the distance to open the game after building a 70-yard drive, which ended in a 13-yard rushing touchdown, in under two minutes of play. They doubled the deficit for AHC before the frame closed with a 4-yard scamper through the endzone with just over four minutes remaining in the quarter. 

QUARTER 2: AHC 14 | MT SAC 21

Caden Harris used a 10-yard rush through the endzone to put Hancock on the board early in the second, but Mt. SAC responded with a pair of goal-line rushes to extend the lead. 

Hancock used eight plays, which featured a pair of long completions from Jackson Clavel to Makai Puga (15 yards) and Elias Martinez (20 yards), to build another scoring drive. Metuliki Tupou capped off the 68-yard drive with a one-yard rush to the endzone. The Mounties used a 40-yard completion and a two-yard scamper to score once more before the halftime break.  

QUARTER 3: AHC 0 | MT SAC 7

The third frame was nearly scoreless for both sides after a Hancock fumble, a missed field goal attempt by the Mounties, and a forced punt for the visiting side. Mt. SAC managed to find the endzone in the final 30 seconds of action via a 15-yard pass that ended an 8-play drive. 

QUARTER 4: AHC 7 | MT SAC 0

Hancock got the final say before time expired when Harris used a 17-yard rush to score. The next possession for both sides ended with punts, but Mt. SAC managed to run out the clock with a 13-play drive that spanned the final eight ticks of time.
