MOORPARK, Calif. - The Allan Hancock College football team got back on track after picking up a National Northern League victory over Moorpark College, 17-10, on Saturday afternoon. Hancock now holds a 19-16 advantage in the all-time series record over the Raiders, which dates back to their first meeting in 1971. | BOX SCORE

ALLAN HANCOCK (2-3, 1-1) @ MOORPARK (2-3, 0-2)

QUARTER 1: AHC 0 | MOORPARK 0

Both programs struggled to find offensive momentum early in the contest as the first four drives featured three punts and a turnover on downs. Moorpark chewed off nearly eight minutes of clock time on their final drive of the opening quarter but was unable to capitalize after missing a 36-yard field goal try.

Hancock managed to find a groove on their final possession of the first, which featured five plays and spilled over into the second frame. Ferrari Busby started the drive with a five-yard rush before Caden Harris got loose for a 65-yard trek, landing just inside of the red zone.

QUARTER 2: AHC 3 | MOORPARK 0

Arath Acosta put the Bulldogs on the board early in the second frame and ended the possession with a successful 22-yard field goal attempt. The next three possessions featured a pair of punts by the home squad that bookended a turnover on downs for Hancock in MC territory. The Bulldogs recovered a fumbled punt with 92 seconds remaining in the half, but failed to score before the intermission after Acosta's 48-yard field goal try fell short of the uprights.

QUARTER 3: AHC 7 | MOORPARK 3

Both teams opened the third frame with another pair of possessions that resulted in punts, but Hancock capitalized on their second drive of the half with a scoring performance. Makai Puga got it started with an 11-yard punt return that placed the visiting crew near midfield. AJ Masunu followed with a 51-yard rush that put the ball at the Moorpark's eight. After a rush for no gain by John Allen, Jackson Clavel completed a touchdown pass to Alex Sutton to push the team ahead. Acosta completed the possession with a successful point-after attempt.

The Raiders were forced to punt after a three-and-out showing on the ensuing drive, but quickly regained possession after recovering a forced fumble. Moorpark ended the possession by using a 27-yard field goal attempt to get on the scoreboard before the quarter ended.

QUARTER 4: AHC 7 | MOORPARK 7

Hancock opened the fourth frame with a 30-yard pass from Clavel to Michael Jordan Jr. before Harris scored on a two-yard scamper. Moorpark found the endzone with just over five minutes remaining in regulation after a 72-yard touchdown completion, bringing the game back to a one-possession difference. AHC's defense snuffed out a late comeback shot by the Raiders after a six-yard tackle for loss and two incomplete passes forced Moorpark's 11th and final punt of the game with 2:27 on the clock.
