Next Level: Football's Casey Fuaau Inks with Troy University

TROY, Ala. - Allan Hancock College offensive lineman, Casey Fuaau, will move on to continue his academic and athletic career at Troy University next season. Fuaau was recognized as one of 27 student-athletes to ink with the Trojans during the mid-year signing period and one of just 11 junior college signees in the group.

"Troy has a winning streak! The facilities, the coaching staff, and the strength & condition program are all great and the coaches were very detailed in what they have to offer," Fuaau said. "I believe that they will prepare me to go on to the next level. Troy is also close to home and I would love to see my family in the stands at every home game."

Fuaau served a critical role on the offensive line for the Bulldogs this season after appearing in 10 of the 11 scheduled contests. The Northwest (Tenn.) High School product was honored as a Second Team All-League selection in the National Northern League at the conclusion of the regular season for his efforts.

"My time at AHC gave me a chance to get help where I needed it with academics. The coaching staff here took me in and gave me a chance to work my way up to where I am right now, being able to be on my feet and ready to move on to the next level," Fuaau added. "I give credit to the football program, especially Coach Aguilar and Coach Parker for believing in me and helping me find a scholarship while keeping me physically and mentally ready for the next stop. The football team - my brotherhood - has been great to be around and has become my family away from home. AHC has given me the hope to continue doing what I love on the field and I pray that I am able to give back to this school one day."

The Trojans are a Division I member of the NCAA and compete in the Sun Belt Conference.
