Next Level: Erwin Taomi Inks with USC
LOS ANGELES, Calif. - Allan Hancock College football defensive lineman, Erwin Taomi, will continue his academic and athletic career next season at San Diego State University.
"USC has been a dream school of mine since the beginning when I fell in love with the game," Taomi shared. "I went to a camp up at Sacramento State and did well. I impressed some of the members of the USC staff who were there and they liked what I had to show."
Taomi spent one season on the field for the Bulldogs before moving on to the next level. Last fall, the true freshman saw action in six games as a member of the defensive line while accumulating five tackles. The coaching staff at USC has plans to move him to the opposite side of the ball as a developmental piece for the offensive line.
"My time here at AHC taught me that it doesn't matter what position you get put in. If you just stay down and put in the work, great things will fall into place," Taomi added. "God did!"
The Trojans are a Division I member of the NCAA and compete in the Big Ten Conference.
