Next Level: Leo Togia Signs with University of Mary
BISMARCK, N.D. - Allan Hancock College center, Leo Togia, has signed on to continue his athletic and academic career at the University of Mary this fall.
"Out of all of the offers I received, I felt that the University of Mary was the best fit for me to continue my football career and my education," Togia shared. "I'm also looking forward to experiencing living in a different city than what I'm used to after coming from my hometown and then living in California."
Togia completed his second season on the field with the Bulldogs last fall. As a sophomore, the native of American Samoa was tabbed as a First Team All-American for his work on the offensive line and was one of five Hancock athletes to be named as a First Team All-State selection for Region III. Togia also picked up a First Team All-League nod after helping the Bulldogs secure a second consecutive share of the National Northern League title.
"My time at AHC helped me figure out how to navigate tougher classes. I also learned how to reach out for help so that I can get the resources that I need to be successful," Togia shared.
The Mauraders are a Division II member of the NCAA and compete in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference.
