NEXT LEVEL: Anthony Tucker Commits to Waldorf University
FOREST CITY, Iowa - Allan Hancock College runningback, Anthony Tucker, has signed on with Waldorf University to continue his academic and athletic career next season.
"Waldorf University is a great environment, great school, and really is a small-town college with a big heart," Tucker shared. "I felt like this was a good fit and would give me the best chance to succeed. After several conversations with my family and a lot of prayer, I was confident that this would be the best choice for me."
Tucker completed his second season on the field with the Bulldogs in the fall. As a sophomore, the native of North Carolina was tabbed as a Second Team All-League selection after his work on the group. Tucker averaged 65 rushing yards per game after totaling 650 yards on the season while scoring six touchdowns.
"The academic preparation I was taught while at Hancock along with the opportunities for growth, not only as an athlete but as a man too, helped prepare me for this next step," Tucker added. "AHC is a great school overall with a solid football coaching staff, a good environment, and great administration. There wasn't much more that I could ask for during my time here. God blessed me with my opportunity at Hancock and I had no choice but to put my best foot forward."
The Warriors are a member of the NAIA and compete in the Great Plains Athletic Conference.
