Bulldogs Top in Conference Headed into Saturday's Home Game

The Bulldogs are headed into their second conference game at the top of the standings after beating Santa Barbara City College 91-77 on Wednesday, Jan. 5.

        It was a tight game for the first half and Hancock went into halftime with only a one point lead over the Vaqueros. The team pulled ahead in the last half of the game with Khufu Najee putting up 18 points, Demetrius Thomas, 12 and Leron Fisher, 10, to help the team seal the win. Thomas ended the night with 25 points and eight rebounds. Najee and Fisher both had a total of 20 points and Josh Varney put up 10.

         Hancock is now 1-0 in conference and 14-6 overall, enough for a number one ranking in the Western State Conference North heading into Saturday's home game against Moorpark College at 5 p.m. Moorpark is currently 0-1 and 5-10 overall after losing a close game, 80-81 against Cuesta College on Jan. 9.
