Jackson Leads Three-Point Attack, Hancock Tops Sequoias 63-55
The Allan Hancock College men's basketball team hit ten 3-point buckets led by four from Lompoc-native Rijo Jackson in a 63-55 win over College of Sequoias on Saturday during day two of the Fresno Tournament.
The Bulldogs improved to 3-2 on the season under first-year head coach Tyson Aye and bounced back from a 15-point loss to top ranked San Francisco on Friday.
Three players scored ten or more points led by Jackson, who scored 12 points. The sophomore guard hit three 3-pointers in the second half and finished with four buckets from downtown in the game.
Warren Dix hit three 3-pointers in the game to finish with 10 points, while Isaiah Hicks also finished with 10 points. Josh Varney and Marquis Rivera added 9 points apiece in the victory.
The three-day tournament ends on Sunday. The Bulldogs play the host team Fresno at 2 p.m. in the consolation championship. Fresno hit thirteen 3-pointers in a 91-51 win over Feather Valley on Saturday. The Rams are ranked 9th in the Northern California Regional preseason poll.
