Bio
Carney received a medical redshirt last season. He averaged 13 points in eight games before suffering a season-ending injury. Carney earned all-conference honorable mention his freshman season with the Bulldogs in 2015-16. He averaged 12 points and 3.3 assists per game. He hit his career high in points with 21 against L.A. Pierce and had back-to-back double-doubles against Oxnard and Santa Barbara.
In high school, Carney helped lead Narbonne High School to a league title and CIF quarterfinals appearance his senior year. He was named to the All-City First Team and received the league’s Most Valuable Player after averaging 20 points per game.
He is majoring in business and hopes to transfer to a four-year university to continue his basketball and academic careers.
