Dakota Saunders Commits to University of Saint Mary

SANTA MARIA, Calif. - Allan Hancock College men's basketball player, Dakota Saunders, has officially committed to continue his athletic and academic career at the University of Saint Mary (Kan.) next season.

Saunders, an Ernest Righetti High School alum, played one season and redshirted one season with Hancock. He averaged 5.5 points and 3.0 rebounds per game while shooting 53.8 percent from the floor during his short stint with the Bulldogs. Prior to joining the Hancock squad, Saunders spent one season at Cuesta where he scored a career-high of 17 points in just 18 minutes of play. In high school, he earned All-League and Defensive All-League team honors.

USM, located in Leavenworth, is a member of the NAIA and competes in the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference.
