Bulldogs Extend Win Streak to Five with Road Victory over Moorpark

MOORPARK, Calif. - The Allan Hancock College men's basketball team stretched the current active win streak to five after topping Western State Conference foe, Moorpark College, in a 65-54 decision on Saturday afternoon. | BOX SCORE

The Bulldogs (13-6, 3-0 WSC) held a nine-point lead at the intermission and secured the victory by holding off a comeback effort from hosting Raiders (10-10, 2-2 WSC) midway through the second half. Hancock overcame a cold 16.7 percent shooting performance from long range by providing a solid presence inside. The visiting crew outrebounded Moorpark at a 44-38 margin while registering 40 points in the paint, compared to 24 from MC. 

Vondre Chase led all scorers on the night with 15 points after going 6-for-12 from the field while also adding six rebounds and two steals. Taevon Pierre-Louis recorded his 12th double-double of the season after chipping in 12 points and 10 rebounds. Zachary Asleson and Onias Outlaw rounded out the list of top scorers with 11 points and 10 points, respectively. Pierre-Louis and Caleb Whalen each dished out a team-high mark of six assists. Outlaw stuffed the stat sheet after tacking on nine rebounds, four steals, three assists, and two blocks. 

The Bulldogs are set to return to action on Wednesday, January 18th, with a home showing against LA Pierce College. Single-game tickets for the event, which is scheduled to begin at 7 PM inside of the Joe White Memorial Gymnasium, can be purchased here. As per usual, the ticketing gate will be cashless and fans are strongly encouraged to purchase their tickets prior to arrival, but credit/debit card purchases can be made at the gate.
