Men's Basketball: Bulldogs Bounce LA Pierce, 69-55

WOODLAND HILLS, Calif. - The Allan Hancock College men's basketball got back on track after pulling off a road victory over LA Pierce College in a 69-55 victory on Saturday evening. | BOX SCORE

The Bulldogs (18-, 7-3 WSC) remained in control from start to finish by building towards a seven point advantage at the end of each period. Coach Aye's squad is now in third place amongst the northern division foes in the Western State Conference while the Brahmas (0-26, 0-10 WSC) are at the bottom of the pack. Offensive efficiency hovered around the 40 percent mark from the field for both teams, but Hancock managed to find success at the charity stripe and in the paint.

The visiting crew excelled at the free throw line after shooting well above the team's average by turning in a 72.2 percent performance (13-for-18). AHC also managed to outrebound Pierce at a 38-24 margin while holding a 28-14 advantage on points in the paint. Taevon Pierre-Louis led all scorers on the night with 19 points after going 6-for-12 from the field and making seven free throws. The native of Ohio also led the Hancock squad with nine rebounds and three assists. Vondre Chase followed with a 15-point performance while Kevin Kogbara tacked on 12 points and snagged nine boards off the bench. 

The Bulldogs are set to return to action on Wednesday, February 15th, with a trip to face Santa Barbara City College in the final road test of the regular season. Tickets for the event, which is set to tip-off at 7 PM, can be purchased here.
