Men's Basketball Snags Sixteenth Straight Win at Cuesta

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. - The Allan Hancock College men's basketball team cruised to a 16th consecutive win with a lopsided victory at Cuesta College on Saturday afternoon in a 74-49 decision. The win moves the Bulldogs to an unbeaten 8-0 record against league foes ahead of Moorpark College (8-1) in the WSC North standings.  | BOX SCORE

Coach Aye's crew held just a three-point advantage at the intermission before managing to pull away after play resumed, eventually outscoring the Cougars by 22 in the second half. Both programs struggled from distance, finishing the day with a 20 percent performance from the three-point line, but Hancock found success inside with a 47.5 percent finish overall. AHC also won the rebounding battle, 35-28, and forced 18 Cougar turnovers. 

Mylo Santos led all scorers on the night with 22 points after an 8-for-12 showing from the field and a 6-for-8 mark at the charity stripe. Taevon Pierre-Louis followed with 14 points while Assad Madassalia tacked on 12. Pierre-Louis dished out a team-high of six assists while Jaden Pena led the reserves with eight rebounds and eight points off of the bench. 

The Bulldogs are set to return to action on Wednesday, February 14th, with a road trip to Moorpark College.
