Next Level: Noah Haaland Heading to Gonzaga University
SPOKANE, Wash. - Allan Hancock College men's basketball center, Noah Haaland, will be heading to Gonzaga University to continue his academic and athletic career next season as a preferred walk-on.
"I chose Gonzaga for a few reasons. One big reason is that both of my parents played there in college and it's always been a dream of mine to do the same," Haaland shared. "Another reason is it's close to home. I grew up in the area and live just 30 minutes away from the campus."
Haaland spent two seasons on the court for the Bulldogs, where he proved to be a dominating force on the interior. The product of Idaho was recognized as an All-Conference Honorable Mention selection at the conclusion of his sophomore campaign after averaging 7.8 points and 3.6 rebounds per game through 30 contests. He ranked fifth on the team with 107 total rebounds and fifth with 53 offensive boards.
"My time at Allan Hancock helped me to build resilience through injuries and tough seasons, while also giving me the time to develop a good understanding of college hoops and strengthen my fundamentals," Halaand added.
The Bulldogs are a Division I member of the NCAA and compete in the West Coast Conference.
I am excited to announce that I am committing to play at Gonzaga University as a preferred walk on next year. I am looking forward to playing next season healthy. I want to thank my coaches and my teammates for helping me get to where I am now and a special thanks to my family. pic.twitter.com/hglnyGGrXQ
