
Men's Basketball Stretches Win Streak to Three at Oxnard, 67-59
OXNARD, Calif. - The Allan Hancock College men's basketball team extended the current active win streak to three after registering a 67-59 victory against Oxnard College on the road during the Western State Conference (North) opener. | BOX SCORE
The Bulldogs (11-6, 1-0 WSC) secured the victory with a strong second half performance after trailing by one at the intermission. Hancock quickly took the lead after the halftime break when Troy Green connected with Ay-Keen Richardson for a three-pointer to push the visiting crew ahead. That bucket sparked a 9-3 run and gave AHC a lead that they rode out to the end.
As a team, Hancock finished with a 44.4 percent mark from the field and excelled with a 13-for-16 showing (81.3%) at the charity stripe. Coach Aye's squad also outrebounded the Condors (8-4, 0-1 WSC), 34-24.
Trenten Lavender led all scorers on the night with 22 points after an 8-for-11 showing from the field, which included a pair of shots from distance, and four free throws. Owen Ubaldo and Jordan Kamga followed with 10 points apiece. Kamga also hauled in a team-best of nine rebounds.
The Bulldogs are set to continue conference action at home on Saturday, January 11th, against Cuesta College beginning at 3 PM.
