
Bulldogs Use First Half Surge to Sink Pirates, 77-56
VENTURA, Calif. - The Allan Hancock College men's basketball team picked up a 77-56 victory over Ventura College while on the road in a Western State Conference (North) contest on Saturday evening. | BOX SCORE
The Bulldogs (13-8, 3-2 WSC) set the tone early and never looked back after building a 37-17 lead at the intermission. AHC shot a solid 43.1% from the field and dominated inside with a 61-22 advantage on the boards over Ventura (8-11, 1-2 WSC) and 40 points in the paint. Reserves for the visiting squad also proved to be crucial in the victory with 44 points coming off of the bench for Coach Aye's crew.
Mykel Valrie led the way for the Bulldogs with 18 points and nine rebounds, while Ay-Keen Richardson added 11 points and five rebounds. Arlind Konjuhi and Troy Green also registered double figure finishes with 14 and 10 points, respectively.
The Bulldogs are set to return to action on Saturday, February 1st, at home against Oxnard College beginning at 3 PM.
