Bulldogs Finish 5th at Santa Barbara Invitational
The Allan Hancock College men's golf team finished fifth during the two-day, 36-hole Santa Barbara Invitational on Monday afternoon.
The tournament included 18-holes on Sunday at Marshallia Ranch and 18-holes on Monday at La Purisima. Par on both courses was a 72.
The Bulldogs combined to shoot a 397 on the first day and a 407 on day two. Their overall score of 804 ranked fifth-best out of the eight teams.
College of the Desert won with a 746 (370, 376). Ventura finished second at 757 (377-380), Santa Barbara came in third at 769 (385-384), while Bakersfield came in fourth at 797 (389-408). The Bulldogs finished ahead of Citrus (808), Glendale (842) and Mt. San Jacinto (850).
Greg Robarge of Ventura earned the individual medalist with a combined score of 144 (70-74).
The Bulldogs return to action on Monday, March 10, at a Western State Conference tournament hosted by Ventura College at the River Ridge Golf Course at 11 a.m.
