Bulldogs Finish Eighth in Season Opener

Led by Tristan Ioppini's seven-over 79, the Allan Hancock College men's golf team finished eighth in the first tournament of the 2015 season. Host College of the Canyons won the first Western State Conference tourney with a combined score of 373. Santa Barbara City College finsihed second with a 386, followed by Ventura at 388 and Glendale with a 395.

Sophomores Justin Roxbrough and Shawn Brackett carded 82s for the Bulldogs, while freshman Robert Zimkowski finished with an 83. Sophomore Alejando Nicolini finished 18 holes with an 86.

Canyons' Eric Kim was the medalist with a one-under 71.

The Bulldogs return to action on Monday, Feb. 16, at Alisal Ranch in a conference tournament hosted by SBCC.
