Ortiz attended Olive Grove Charter School in Lompoc. His major is recreation management. He chose Hancock so he could stay close to home and earn his degree. Two of Ortiz’s older brothers graduated from Hancock. His favorite sports memory is when he hit a golf ball for the very first time.
