Golf Takes Seventh at WSC Championship
SOLVANG, Calif. - The Allan Hancock College men's golf program closed the regular season by competing through 36 holes at the Western State Conference Championship on Monday afternoon, hosted at the Alisal River Course.
The Bulldogs finished the event in seventh place out of nine competing teams after shooting 394 in round one and 422 in round two, totaling 816 strokes on the day. College of the Canyons won the event with a final total of 731, followed by Ventura (736) and Citrus (770).
Jack Wellenkamp led the effort for the Bulldogs after carding 76 in the opening round and 82 in the second en route to a score of 158. Parker Jones closed the day with a total of 159, followed by Troy Fulton's final mark of 160.
