Pecile Tabbed as Northern Santa Barbara County Male Athlete of the Week

SANTA MARIA, Calif. - Awards continue to stack up for Allan Hancock College men's swimming athlete, Max Pecile, after being named the Northern Santa Barbara County Male Athlete of the Week on Monday afternoon.

Pecile helped lead the Bulldogs to a third place finish after three days of competition at the Western State Conference Championship by tallying 57 individual points. The Santa Ynez High School alum earned a pair of 1st place finishes in both the 100-yard and 200-yard backstroke events and a runner-up performance in the 500-yard freestyle. He also collected two group medals after a second place finish in the 800-yard freestyle relay and a third place performance in the 200-yard medley relay. 

The Bulldogs are currently waiting for the state office to announce which individuals will represent the program as qualifiers for the CCCAA State Championship in Monterey Park, Calif.
