Men's Swimming: Three Individuals and Three Relay Teams Named to List of CCCAA All-Americans

SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Awards continue to accumulate for the Allan Hancock College men's swimming program after the most successful showing to date during the 2023 campaign. The men's team wrapped up the season earlier this month at the CCCAA State Championship, where the Bulldogs placed 13th of 35 competing teams.

The top sixteen times across the state throughout the season, for both individuals and relay teams, received CCCAA All-America honors. Sophomore standout, Max Pecile, collected three individual All-American nods: 400-yard individual medley (3rd | 4:01.58), 200-yard individual medley (4th | 1:52.18), and 200-yard backstroke (8th | 1:52.82). Sophomore Jarred Torres was honored in the 1,650-yard freestyle after clocking the 13th fastest time in the state (17:13.14) while freshman Ryan Lacaste was recognized in the 200-yard butterfly (15th | 1:59.22).

The men's program also saw three relay teams on the list led by the 800-yard freestyle relay - made up of Torres, Pecile, Lacaste, and Asa Marsalek - was also named to the list of honorees after posting a time of 7:10.69, ranking them 9th. The 200-yard medley relay and the 400-yard medley relay - both comprised of Lacaste, Jericho Orcino, Pecile, and Torres - also received postseason recognition with times that ranked 15th and 10th, respectively.
