De Leon qualified for CIF in both cross country and track and field for Righetti High School. De Leon was named the team’s Most Valuble Player his senior season. He holds school records in the 400 meters (53.01), 800 meters (1:59.19) and mile (4:32.64). De Leon enjoys working on cars.
