Hancock Track and Field Program to host Clinic February 11
Track and field athletes from the Central Coast will have an opportunity to kick their seasons into high gear with a unique training opportunity. The Allan Hancock College track and field program will host a clinic at its state-of-the-art track on Saturday, February 11, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. The clinic is open to all athletes from middle schools and high schools.
Allan Hancock College Head Coach Louie Quintana, his coaching staff, and student-athletes will be on hand to provide instruction to children. Camp participants will be able to work on hurdles, sprints, distance races, and starting blocks. They will also be able to try the field events such as high jump, long jump, shot put, triple jump, discus and pole vault.
Parents can register their children at the track starting at 9 a.m. on the day of the clinic.
The cost is $10 per person. The funds raised will help support Hancock's track and field program during the 2017 season.
