Track & Field Teams Compete at Pirate Invitational
VENTURA, Calif. - The Allan Hancock College track & field programs continued to find success in the distance and field events at the Pirate Invitational, hosted by Ventura College, on Saturday. | FULL RESULTS
The men's team picked up a fifth place finish through the field of 17 scoring programs and were highlighted by a pair of top finishes. Jacob Garbiso picked up his third first place performance in the shot put this season after a heave of 12.65 meters while Erick Marceleno took first in the steeplechase event with a final time of 10:12.13.
The women's team landed in a two-way tie for eighth with Glendale through the field of 16. Makayla Gonzalez was a bright spot for the Bulldogs with her second top finish in the steeplechase this spring after posting a final time of 12:27.3.
Hancock is set to return to action on February 28th at the WSC North Meet, hosted by Cuesta College.
