Cross Country: Women Take First Place at Moorpark Invitational, Olea Claims Top Individual Spot
MOORPARK, Calif. - The Allan Hancock College cross country programs continued the season by competing at the Moorpark Invitational, hosted by Moorpark College, on Friday afternoon. | FULL RESULTS
The women's program finished atop the field of eight programs, earning a first place designation for the second meet in a row. Hancock's Itandehui Olea also finished first in the 56-participant race after clocking a final time of 19:28.5. Eva Luu (20:31.4) and Maraitzel Moreno Gutierrez (21:16.3) also landed in the top-15 after placing 7th and 15th, respectively. Makayla Gonzalez (17th / 21:45.8), Annais Vega (26th / 23:01.7), Melissa Marin (41st / 26:54.0), and Rosalie Nicolas (55th / 32:11.0) also represented the Bulldogs.
The men's program finished in 11th place through the field of 12 programs. Ethan Stenhouse led the pack for Coach Youngblood in 47th place after turning in a time of 24:35.9. Other members racing for Hancock on the day include Pablo Ruiz (65th / 26:11.3), Orlando Marin (69th / 26:54.0), Isaiah Lopez (81st / 29:14.3), and Fredy Sanchez (84th / 31:26.1).
The Bulldogs are set to return to action on Friday, September 8th, at Oxnard College Park.
