Women's Cross Country Takes First Place at Bakersfield Invitational
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Allan Hancock College men's and women's cross country programs continued the season by competing at the Bakersfield Invitational on Friday afternoon. | COMPLETE RESULTS
The women's team finished atop the field of two scoring programs after turning in a total time of 1:50:09 and a score of 17. The hosting Renegades finished second with a final tally of 42 and a total time that exceeded the two-hour mark. Coach Youngblood's squad saw three individuals cross the line early led by the individual winner, Itandehui Olea (21:08.0), en route to her second overall individual win of the season. Eva Luu (21:38.0) finished second, followed by Maraitzel Moreno Gutierrez (21:51.0) in third before Bakersfield sent a runner through. Jasmine Cruz (22:39.0) rounded out the top performers with a fifth place finish.
On the men's side, Bakersfield finished first by default as the only scoring program to compete. Ethan Stenhouse led the short-handed AHC crew as the lone top-10 performer with a 10th place finish after turning in a final time of 25:27.0.
