Cross Country Completes Season at 3C2A State Championship
FRESNO, Calif. - The Allan Hancock College cross country programs wrapped up the 2024 campaign by competing in the 3C2A State Championship event, hosted at Woodward Park, on Saturday. | FULL RESULTS
Freshman John Gutierrez served as the lone representative for the men's program and closed out his first collegiate season with a runner-up finish through the field of 192 racers at the event. His final time of 20:47.4, which earned him both All-American and First Team All-State honors, was less than 10 seconds off of the winning pace.
The women's team took 14th out of 23 scoring programs after seeing three individuals finish in the top-100. Itandehui Olea led the way in 9th place with a final time of 19:08.5, also earning her All-American and First Team All-State recognition. Eva Luu (19:58.4) also picked up an All-State honor as a Second Team finisher after placing 25th while Makayla Gonzalez took 56th with a final time of 20:45.0. Annais Vega (156th | 24:10.9), Rosalie Nicolas (168th | 26:24.7), and Emma Reyes (170th | 26:56.1) rounded out the list of athletes representing the Bulldogs at the event.
