
Michel Twirls No-Hitter at Santa Monica
SANTA MONICA, Calif. - Freshman pitcher Havanah Michel highlighted the Allan Hancock College 8-0 shutout victory over Santa Monica College in a five-inning Western State Conference showdown. | BOX SCORE
The Bulldogs (6–8, 4–3 WSC) came out swinging, plating two runs in the opening inning and never looked back. Leadoff hitter Kaylee Dolores set the tone with a triple and two runs scored, while Tori Salazar added a double, an RBI, and a stolen base to keep pressure on the Corsairs (2-9, 0-5 WSC).
The second inning saw Jonessa Marquez launch a solo home run as part of her perfect 3-for-3 day that included two doubles, a homer, and an RBI. Riley Vannasap chipped in with two RBIs, and Shianne Gooley added two hits and a stolen base to round out the offensive onslaught.
Michel tossed a five-inning no-hitter, striking out five and walking just one in the near-perfect showing. The St. Joseph High School alum faced only one batter over the minimum and needed just 66 pitches to complete the shutout.
