Bio

Chastity Johnson enters her 13th season as a member of the softball coaching staff in 2024. 

Johnson, a graduate of Allan Hancock College, was a well-decorated softball athlete while playing for the Bulldogs. In 1997, she was recognized as an All-American while playing in the outfield for AHC. Johnson led the team with a .334 batting average, a .778 on-base percentage, and 47 stolen bases. She was a driving force behind the multiple conference championships that the team claimed from 1997-99. Johnson still holds several program records, including single-season hits (69), single-season triples (10), career hits (123), and career triples (14). 

Johnson received an athletic scholarship to compete at NCAA Division I Cal State University - Northridge, where Coach Scia Maumausolo was serving as an assistant coach. Johnson received a bachelor’s degree in child development and a minor in childcare administration from CSUN.

Currently, Johnson is a program specialist for a local non-profit agency, Fighting Back Santa Maria Valley, and enjoys inspiring young people to succeed in all aspects of life.
