Women's Basketball Team Takes First Conference Win
The women's basketball team is 1-2 in conference and 5-12 overall after beating Los Angeles Pierce 80-77 on the road Wednesday, January 11.
Camille Zumbro (Santa Maria, CA), still leading the conference in scoring and now ranked number onein the state with 457 total points scored 26 points against Pierce and had three steals. Sophomore Isabel Maldonado (Pioneer Valley ) scored 19 points and had five rebound and two steals and freshman Tessa Underwood (Nipomo) had 10 total rebounds. Underwood is leading the team in rebounding and averages 7.5 per game.
The Bulldogs take on Santa Barbara City College at 5 p.m. on January 14 at Allan Hancock College. The Vaqueros are currently 1-1 in conference and 7-10 overall.
