Bulldogs Beat Lassen Behind Roland, Weinreich and Rodriguez

Justine Roland, Emma Weinreich and Ali Rodriguez combined to score 48 points as the Allan Hancock College women's basketball team routed Lassen 72-39 on Saturday during two of the College of Sequoias Crossover. 

The Bulldogs improved to 2-1 under first-year head coach Cary Nerelli and enjoyed several stellar individual performances. 

Roland recorded a double-double with a team-high 17 points along with 10 rebounds. The sophomore who graduated from Righetti High School pulled down 5 offensive rebounds. 

Weinreich, a sophomore from Arroyo Grande High School, added 15 points and just missed a double-double with 9 rebounds. St. Joseph High graduate Veronica Sua added 8 points and 8 rebounds. 

Rodriguez, who scored 36 points in the season opener, added 16 points. The Pioneer Valley High graduate racked up 3 steals. 

Davina J. Valerio was the fourth Bulldog to reach double figures with 10 points. She added 5 rebounds and 5 steals. Lompoc native Celina Calderon pulled down a team-high 11 rebounds to go with 6 points and 6 assists. 

Hancock recorded season-highs with 13 steals and 20 assists.
