
Ramirez Named First Team All-Conference, Miller Received Honorable Mention

Allan Hancock College women's basketball player Syenna Ramirez has been named to the All-Conference First Team by coaches in the Western State Conference's North Division. Sophomore forward Michaila Miller received honorable mention.
Ramirez earned All-Conference First Team honors after she led the women's basketball team in scoring as a freshman. The St. Joseph High School graduate averaged 16.4 points per game. She shot 33 percent from three-point range. Ramirez averaged five rebounds, four assists and almost two steals per game. Ramirez scored 20 or more points six times this season, including a career-high 40 points against College of the Siskiyous, the fourth ranked team in the state at that time. Ramirez recorded two double-doubles as a freshman: a 22-point, 10-rebound game against College of the Desert; and a 14-point, 12-assist game against Oxnard.
The Hancock women finished the season 5-7 in conference and 16-11 overall. The 16 wins represent the program's highest win total in 20 years.
