TAFT, Calif. - The Allan Hancock College women's basketball team cruised to victory in a road test at Taft College on Friday evening. The Bulldogs dominated on both ends of the court en route to a 62-35 decision.
As a team, Hancock shot 40 percent from the floor while holding the Cougars to just 24 percent shooting on the night. The Bulldogs dominated in the paint, outrebounding Taft at a hefty 47-27 margin, and forced 17 turnovers.
Jayci Baynes led the squad in scoring after pouring in 17 points and posting an efficient 3-for-5 showing from distance. Aryana Gonzales and Kayla Taylor each chipped in 12 points, with Taylor posting her second consecutive double-double after nabbing 11 rebounds. Alijah Paquet rounded out the top scorers with a productive 10 point, 13 rebound performance.
The Bulldogs are set to return to action on Thursday, April 1, with a trip to Antelope Valley College for a 3 PM tip-off.
