
Women's Basketball Tops Taft on Day Two of AHC Crossover
SANTA MARIA, Calif. - The Allan Hancock College women's basketball team led wire-to-wire on day two of the AHC Crossover after posting a final score of 74-35 against Taft College. | BOX SCORE
The Bulldogs (8-3) built momentum early after a strong 11-3 opening quarter and never looked back. The home squad finished the night with a 41 percent shooting effort from the field while limiting the short-handed Cougars (2-8) to just 21.7 percent from the floor. Hancock also registered an impressive +53 in the rebounding column after collecting 74 boards as a group.
Carlissa Solorio, Jewelia Maniss, Alexandria Paquet, and Alijah Paquet led the way for the Bulldogs with a quartet of double-double performances. Solorio led the squad in scoring after pouring a career-high of 24 points after an 11-for-12 shooting performance. Maniss registered a career-high of 23 rebounds while adding 16 points. Alexandria Paquet also recorded 16 points and notched 10 assists. Alijah Paquet rounded out the top performers with a 10 point, 10 rebound showing.
The Bulldogs are slated to return to action on Friday, December 17th, for day one of the Glendale Crossover.
